Email signups are not open
The campaign is still setting up its contact details and identifying the person responsible for managing subscriber information. The displayed signup form is disabled and does not submit information. The arrangements below describe how it will work when activated; this notice will be updated first.
Who is responsible?
The campaign’s data-controller identity will be published here before email registration opens.
Save Our Dock is independent of Royal Docks Waterways, the GLA, Newham Council and the Royal Docks Team.
What the signup form will collect
Your first name, email address, consent record and the version of this notice. You may optionally give your postcode district and connection to the Royal Docks. We do not request a full address, date of birth, telephone number or personal story.
The form provider, Netlify, may process technical information such as submission time and IP address to deliver the service and filter spam. The campaign will restrict access to people administering its updates.
Purpose and consent
Signup information will be used only to administer and send the campaign updates you request. The basis is your consent. Campaign interest may reveal opinions, so the form asks for explicit consent to that use. Joining updates is not a petition signature, a consultation response or proof of support for every campaign position.
The campaign will not sell subscriber information, provide it to the project team or use it for advertising audiences. If an email delivery provider is introduced, this notice will identify it before use.
Storage and retention
When activated, submissions will be stored using Netlify Forms. Netlify may process information outside the UK under its published data-processing terms and transfer safeguards. See Netlify’s privacy policy and data-processing agreement.
Subscriber details will be reviewed at least annually and removed when no longer needed, when you withdraw consent, or within three months of the campaign ending. A minimal suppression record may be retained where needed to honour an unsubscribe request. No email delivery provider is currently connected.
Your rights and withdrawing consent
Once registration opens, you will be able to withdraw consent using the published campaign contact or the unsubscribe method included in each email. You can also request access, correction or deletion of your information, or ask about other applicable rights. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
You can raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
The response-writing tool
Your selected issues and drafted response remain in the browser tab. They are not submitted to the campaign, saved to a database or used to train a service. Closing or reloading the tab clears them. Copying text places it on your device’s clipboard under your control.
Cookies, hosting and external links
This site sets no tracking cookies and uses no analytics, advertising pixels, embedded social feeds or remotely hosted fonts. Netlify processes ordinary connection and security logs to serve the website.
Official consultation and sharing links take you to third-party services. Those organisations’ privacy policies apply after you follow a link. Nothing is submitted or shared automatically.
